The original Ghost Rider was Johnny Blaze: a stunt rider who made a deal with a demon and reaped the terrible reward. The new Ghost Rider of this series has quite a different story. Dan Ketch and his sister Barb were fooling around in a graveyard on Halloween night, when they ran across two groups of mobsters fighting over a mysterious suitcase. Barb was spotted by one of the thugs, a villain named Deathwatch, and was shot to death. Covered with his sister’s blood, Dan searched desperately for a way out, only to stumble across an abandoned motorcycle. When his blood-stained hands touched the gas cap, Dan found himself transformed into the fiery spirit of vengeance known as Ghost Rider.
