| The Fantastic Four was
created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in 1961, and started Marvel’s line of
super-hero comics. The Fantastic Four are Mister Fantastic, the Invisible
Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing, a group of super-powered
adventurers who travel the world and the universe in high-tech,
science-fiction-flavored adventures. After over thirty years, the changing
industry and severe upheavals in the stability of Marvel Comics, causing
it to revamp its entire line of comics. In 1998, a new Fantastic Four
series relaunched one of the most famous comics of the modern age, updated
with an attitude and approach suited for modern sensibilities. |
