Playing
around in the Cypress Hill cemetery, Daniel Ketch and his older sister
stumbled upon the criminal actions of Deathwatch. Not wanting any
witnesses, Deathwatch ordered that the siblings be killed. The two tired
to escape, but Barbara was seriously wounded. Ketch, desperate to save his
sister, dragged her body into a trash heap.
While soaked in her blood,
Ketch came upon a mysterious motorcycle and a glowing gas cap. He touched
the cap and was instantly transformed in Ghost Rider, Spirit of Vengeance.
Ghost Rider exacted revenge on Deathwatch's minions, but Deathwatch
escaped. Barbara was taken to the hospital, where she died. Ketch now uses
his powers as Ghost Rider to avenge those who have suffered at the hands
of criminals.
