Also part of the Batman continuity, Batman:
Shadow of the Bat often focuses on the characters Batman meets, rather
than on Batman. These stories have a harder psychological edge and focus
on the problems that the villains have. For example, some stories have
focused on the Joker, Solomon Grundy, Anarky, and Scarface.
This title is much darker than Detective
Comics, but doesn't cross over into the supernatural side like Batman. The
artwork in this title is occasionally a vehicle for experimental artwork
(almost as a trial title for upcoming Batman artists). An example of the
"psychological" edge is a recent story where Bruce Wayne was
accused of murdering Madolyn Corbett. If you are looking for a Batman
title that is a little non-standard, but want more normal artwork than Batman
and less supernatural stories, check this one out.
