Young Justice
|
|
|
With the massive success of DC's
newest incarnation of the Justice League, JLA, is it any surprise
that their sidekicks would be banding together to form their own team?
Don't call them "junior!" This newest band of sidekicks
generates a remarkable amount of interest, from new and, ahem,
experienced comic readers alike. |
 |
|
Robin pulls in not only the
regular Batman readers, but also a younger audience that respects strong
storytelling around a hero still learning the ropes, but full of optimism
and intelligence. Superboy, under the talented writing of Karl
Kesel, has energy and a sense of fun, but also draws heavily from the Jack
Kirby mythos. And Impulse, the story of a kid with the powers of
Barry Allen and the attention span of a fruit fly on speed, is reckless,
irreverent, and electric. So, from the ashes
of the JLA:World Without Grown-Ups miniseries comes the new Young
Justice comic, courtesy of writer Peter David (late of Hulk and
Aquaman), and penciller Todd Nauck.
